Rachel Whiting is a Utah-based artist and illustrator whose work drifts between the mythical and the deeply personal. With a background in traditional drawing and digital painting, her art explores themes of mysticism, femininity, and quiet power— often through haunting, otherworldly characters that feel both timeless and intimately human.
Driven by storytelling and emotion, Rachel’s work is rooted in a desire to give visual form to the intangible: memory, silence, dreams and shadow. Her characters often emerge from dreamlike realms — part goddess, part ghost— inviting viewers into a space where beauty and melancholy coexist.
She has spent over a decade honing her craft through portraiture, book illustration, and character design, and her pieces are known for their soft intensity, luminous palettes, and arresting gaze.
Rachel lives in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains with her family, where she paints between parenting, gardening and chasing strange ideas under moonlight.
She graduated from Brigham Young University with her Bachelors in Fine Art. Rachel has been featured in Creative Quarterly Magazine and Society of Illustrators West. Some of her clients include Google Cloud and DataNFT.
